Project Akshara Siri

Akshara Siri is a proposed project for new, better GPLed OpenType fonts for Kannada. The plan is to come up with a set of optimized Unicode Kannada fonts that provide the letters that were in use in the traditional Kannada press.

Volunteer
We presently are in the process of forming a team. We're looking for volunteers who could help us with art work for glyphs. We're also looking for volunteers with interest in working with Fonts, Encodings. If you'd like to Volunteer, contact us and get involved.
Funds
We're exploring channels to obtain funds and support for the project. Individual contributors are encouraged to visit the Sampada Foundation donation page. If you represent an organization wishing to support this project with funds or like to discuss about the project, do get in touch with the project coordinators.
