Technical issues we might face
We can expect few issues related to the hardwares listed below. Let us try to add a quick FAQ or resources such as weblinks etc for our and users ready reference.
- Printers
- Dialup Modems
- PCMCIA Cards
- Wireless Cards
- Display Drivers
- Soundcard Related Drivers
- Bios issues - Some HP-Compaq laptops don't allow creation of partitions
- Install Complexity based on partition structure
- Very Simple - Partition is readily available, format to ext2/ext3(Tested)
- Simple - Free space available in one of the partitions, resize and create new ext2/ext3 partition(Tested)
- Medium - Very less space available in the hard disk, backup some data and resize then create new ext2/ext3 partition(Tested)
- Complex - Single partition available in which XP/Vista installed, resize that partition and create new ext2/ext3 partition.(To be tested)
- Very Complex - Free space available in one of the four primary partitions available.(resizing and creating new partition is not possible, since max four primary partitions can be created). One of the primary partition has to be converted to extended partition, then we need to resize and create new ext2/ext3 partition.(To be tested)
